There is a phrase "No pain, No gain". It's used a lot by coaches, teachers and parents.
The idea is that good things don't come easily. We have to work for them.
The more we invest, the bigger the reward. So pain can be mental or physical.
Sometimes, when we're in a tough or "painful" situation, we can grow from it.
But sometimes, the pain dosen't go away, and it becomes a burden. It weighs us down. Then, too much pain makes us negative. It makes us dark.
I was running around yesterday and sprained my ankle. I'll be better in a few days.
I have done this before. I think it's a curse of tall person. But it also gives me a chance to reflect on the value of health and times without pain.
I know someone who has migraine headaches all the time. That person unable to function when he is in pain. That would be hell. Compared to him, I have it good.
Some people have a high threshold of pain. They can handle a lot of pain. It dosen't bother them that much.
But other people can't take the pain. They complain about the slightest injuries. even if It doesn't seem that bad.
I guess that everyone has a different way of handling pain. I'm just glad that, for the most part, my life is pain-free.
